When I teach PennyLane to my students, they sometimes ask about basic concepts in the Codebook, such as where equation (7) comes from. I thought it would be helpful to provide the proof of equation (7) so that you can include it in your Codebook.

I think this could indeed be something like an Exercise I.1.3. It could read something like, “Based on what you learned from Exercises I.1.1 and Exercise I.1.2, prove equation 7”.
I’ll check with our team to find the best way to address this.
Just out of curiosity, are you teaching a course at a school or university? If so, which one?
