I think I have completed the code for all the required functions; the number of electrons, the hf state, and the tuneable circuit. Can anyone give me a hint what I probably missed?

You have indeed completed all you needed to complete. However if you’re getting the wrong answer the issue might be in the implementation.

Here are two functions that you may find useful:

qchem.hf_state
qml.AllSinglesDoubles
