Hi, I’m simulating the GKP state with StrawberryFields, and I want to calculate the expectation value of the GKP state (e.g., GKP(epsilon=0.1)) for some operators (e.g., Dgate). However, I didn’t find the established methods for this. I found a similar question in the forum, but with number operations #2590. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
Hi @Bernard , welcome to the Forum!
The tutorial on Studying realistic bosonic qubits using the bosonic backend shows you how to calculate the Pauli expectation value when using CV homodyne measurements.
Note that this tutorial is the third in a series of three tutorials on the bosonic backend. You will find parts 1 and 2 of this series linked at the beginning of the demo. I encourage you to check the whole series to get a full understanding of this backend. Let us know if you have any questions after reading these tutorials.
I hope this helps!
Hi Catalina,
Thanks for your nice reply. I will check the tutorial again in case of I miss something.
