Availability of qrackbind for PennyLane

Hello!

I am seeking feedback and a few brave souls to test a new Qrack python binding package called qrackbind. The package includes a few PennyLane devices which are discussed in the README. As noted in the project README:

The goal was to create a nanobind project that would serve as a proving ground for AI-assisted development in the quantum computing space. After evaluating options, Qrack stood out as an excellent candidate — a high-performance C++ simulator with broad backend support and an existing Python binding to compare against.

I am not a Physicist but my son is. During his schooling, I became curious about Quantum computing and have been seeking, for a while, an entry point to contribute. The installation tools for the package are still under development. If you wish to experiment with qrackbind, please reference the DEVELOPMENT.md file to get started.

Please feel free to kick the tires, ask questions, provide opinions and raise issues. I am open to feedback.

Martin.

Hi @stokomax,

Welcome to the Forum and thanks for sharing this here!

And welcome to the quantum computing community too! You’ll notice that many of us are not physicists but there’s still a lot of room to contribute.

In fact I think you might enjoy participating in unitaryHACK, which will take place online from June 3-17. This is an event organized by the Unitary Foundation. Note that they have an AI policy so you may want to read that before participating.

Congrats on making qrackbind and I hope you get some good feedback on it!
