Are the textbook and challenge designed to be independent of one another? I sometimes find repetitions between the textbook and the challenge, especially in I.1, whereas later nodes such as I.5 the challenge has a strong focus on pennylane.

Although I.1 is a really solid module (I like it even more than Nielsen & Chaung’s intro 😄), it is a long and challenging module compared to the ones that come after it. Perhaps splitting it into 2 nodes can be considered (this is just an opinion 😅 ).

This is great insight @Kamal_Mohamed! And a great compliment too 😊. The idea is that both sections could be independent from one another. However, there shouldn’t be many repetitions either. I agree that splitting it into 2 could be a good solution. I’ll discuss this with our quantum educators and hopefully you will see this change in a future release of the codebook 😃.

Hello. I was wondering if there is a way in which in a single browser window it can be simultaneously shown the profile of the student and the advance in the codebook course?
If not, it would be a very useful feature for evaluation when the course is used in universities or so.

Thanks for this feedback @hanzyrg !

Unfortunately at the moment we don’t have a way to visualize this in the same page.

You could ask the students to add a print statement with their name in each Codercise, and then show the completion status in the “All modules” section on the right. They can probably still cheat but this is something you could try. Otherwise you’d need to ask them for a screen recording where they show their progress and then their profile.

I hope this helps!

No problem @hanzyrg!

We’re looking into adding badges for completed Codebook modules. So hopefully in the future you’ll just need the link to the student’s profile! 😃

Hi @hanzyrg , I have some great news 🎉

Codebook certificates and badges are now live!

Your students should see the badges on their profile for the following modules:

- IQC (Introduction to Quantum Computing)
- SQ (Single-Qubit Gates)
- MQ (Circuits with Many Qubits)
- BA (Basic Quantum Algorithms
- QFT (Quantum Fourier Transform)
- QPE (Quantum Phase Estimation)
- SH (Shor’s Algorithm)
- DM (Distance Measures)

Certificates for the following learning paths will be awarded to people who have completed them. Note that they will need to go to their [PennyLane account](https://pennylane.ai/account#manage-certificates) and accept them.

- Foundations of Quantum Computing
- Foundations of Quantum Algorithms

I hope this helps you for your course, and let us know if any of your students have issues with their badges and certificates.
